It is now taking a well-deserved break\u2014for its own wellbeing and that of future visitors!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Grand Elephant\u2019s permanent presence at the heart of the \u00cele de Nantes, the regularity of its daytime rides, and the fact that it sleeps every night at the entrance to Les Nefs have transformed this area into a must-see destination in the metropolitan area. On the Parc, its ride between the Carrousel des Mondes Marins and the Nefs provides a reassuring presence for residents and passing visitors alike. Since its inauguration on 30th June 2007, millions of visitors have followed its movements, admired its eyelashes, narrowly avoided being sprayed with water, and heard its trumpeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To mark the 2027 reopening of Les Machines de l\u2019\u00eele on Saturday 6th February 2027, \u201cflash tours\u201d of the <em>Grand \u00c9l\u00e9phant<\/em> will be offered to the public: the machine mediators will reveal what happens behind the scenes.
